E-Learning for financial products in the credit union world has, to this point, been limited to pre-recorded or live web-ex training sessions and stagnant reference sheets. We have developed courses that are designed to engage credit union employees while teaching them the basics of your protection programs. The result is meant to supplement the in-person trainings that we already conduct and should help new employees and folks who just need a refresher to feel more confident when offering payment protection to members.

In the initial version of “Payment Protection 101,” CU employees are able to log in at their convenience to complete the course. They join TOD, our Trainer for Online Delivery, as he walks them through the basic guidelines of your CU’s payment protection program and some handy ways to handle the sales process and member objections. Throughout the course, TOD presents the students with mini games to test their knowledge so far, helping to engage the participant on a level previously unavailable in online product training for credit unions. At the end of the course, students take a brief quiz and are presented with a certificate of completion, which they can print out for display (or just to prove that they actually took the course).

The current courses available and customized to present your staff with your credit union’s program include Credit Protection 101, Debt Protection 101, and GAP. We plan to expand our online university on an ongoing basis.
